Basically World III
Dominate the world in Basically World III. From the jungles of Columbia to the plains of Tibet, found your nation and conquer the world while combating your rivals across the globe.
How to play Basically World:
Select your nation's name, a national color, a map mode, and difficulty.
Navigate on the map using the arrow keys to move and the + / - keys to zoom in and out.
Or hold Shift and drag the mouse to move and use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out.
Place your nation on a non-water tile on earth.
Design your flag by selecting colors and drawing them on 24x16 rectangle, or generate a random flag by selecting the red random flag button. When satisfied continue with the green OK button.
Gameplay:
Certain events in your nation will happen every season, and some only once a year.
Every time a new season is reached the population will consume food and grow.
At the beginning of Spring taxes are collected.
At the beginning of Summer the standing army must be paid.
At the beginning of Autumn crops are collected based on the type of tiles your nation owns.
At the beginning of Winter snow falls.
Each season you have the opportunity to:
Buy and sell from the marketplace. Manage your money and resources to prepare for action on the map.
Build your army to expand to new tiles. Different tiles have different requirements for the amount of army it takes to conquer it. Tiles belonging to other nations will also cost more to take. Likewise, having a large standing army makes your tiles harder for other nations to capture.
Buy boat points to sail across the water (1 boat point costs 100). You must sail across the water before you expand your territory.
Manage your resources. Collect wood or plant trees with the plant / harvest toggle. Only forest tiles can be harvested, and then turn into different kind of tile. And certain kinds of tiles can be planted on and turned into forest tiles. It costs 1 wood to plant a tree on a non-city tile.
Found cities. Cities provide extra defense and a population boost. If your capital is taken and you have no cities to retreat to, the game is lost.
How to win:
Conquer every tile and defeat all other nations on earth.
Notes:
The game autosaves every turn so your progress is always safe.
When expanding the army, sailing, or harvesting, the on screen cursor diameter increase / decrease can also be triggered with the [ / ] keys.
Once a game gets going it may take a moment to pass from one season to the next, especially when playing at harder difficulties.

there was such a chain of rebellions that it ended on "west the people's south west"
from what i gathered from about an hour of played, get enough money for 100 troops, go click on expand, then click on a tile that borders one you own
How to disable the music?
enemy ai broken?
9/10 could use a little bit of optimization but otherwise amazing
wow
Really love this third game of Basically World, there are a few quirks here and there but its mostly fine.
The game runs more smootly than its other predecessors.
There are a few things id love to see such has the ability to change flags and name at certain times of expations, the creation of vassals with the flag of the player on the corner of the vassalized state (with the ability to entegrate them ofc)
